Tecventions begins operations with a manufacturing strategy focused on control, flexibility, and margin protection.
In-House Injection Molding
The company will operate with two in-house injection molding machines from inception, allowing:
-
Direct control over quality and scheduling
-
Faster iteration and troubleshooting
-
Lower per-unit costs at modest volumes
-
Reduced dependency on third-party molders
Selective Outsourcing
Only the largest, highest-tonnage molds are outsourced when it is economically or technically justified. This avoids unnecessary capital investment while preserving flexibility.
Tooling Ownership
Tecventions owns 19 injection molds supporting its product portfolio, with an estimated replacement value of approximately $350,000. Tooling ownership materially reduces production risk and capital requirements.
Assembly & Fulfillment
Assembly and kitting are intentionally simple and scalable. Contract labor may be used as volume requires, while fulfillment supports both DTC and Amazon channels.
