I am not a patent attorney. I’m an inventor and product developer who’s received several patents, researched hundreds more, and learned hard lessons through the process. I want to help you avoid costly mistakes and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Too many inventors are encouraged to spend BIG $$ on legal filings before proving their concept has value. That’s not how I operate. I’ll help you:

  • Understand the patent process from a real-world perspective

  • Understand the differences between Design and Utility Patents

  • Consider low-cost protection strategies, including:

    • Provisional patent applications — secure your filing date while continuing to develop your product for a year before applying for the full utility patent

    • The “poor man’s patent” method — document your invention by printing a clear description, drawings, or photos, and mailing it to yourself via certified mail (unopened) to establish a date of conception. While not legally equivalent to a filed patent, this method can help demonstrate the originality and timeline of your idea if you pursue a full patent later

  • Know when (or if) to invest in a formal utility patent

  • Stay focused on prototyping, testing, and market validation — the steps that prove your idea is worth protecting
